  1. Thank you so much to you both, Walt and Garry. Closing the original Affinity Publisher version seem to release the blockage. Very grateful to you both for your rapid response. Appreciative thanks Rufus
  2. Hi Can anyone spare some time to kindly help me please? I am working on a very simple two sides of A4 sheet for a funeral (time is of the essence!). It's a very small document but following my usual 'export' , the file appears to go to a folder but when I come to attach it to an email to send to the printers, it's unuseable. I've attached the original Affinity Pub doc, and the label which includes the word 'lock'. I'm using Affinity Publisher 2.4.0 I'm trying to make a PDF (for print) Thanks Rufus Funeral sheet recentred.afpub~lock~ Funeral sheet recentred.afpub
  3. Done! Thank you. I'm starting the whole project again...sigh! R
  4. Thank you, Alfred. I can see my learning curve is now to get Windows to show filename extensions by default...Thank you for taking an interest in this issue. Cheers R
  5. Thank you Hangman. I can see Subset Fonts box was ticked. So I've now unticked it. My problem will be to find the original document....Your attention to a stranger's problems is much appreciated.
  6. Thank you so much for highlighting this: I'd exported the file to become a pdf but in doing so seem to have lost the original....though my folder shows one pdf and one affinity file. The other query is why the entire document has become corrupted with ti and te being changed! My work flow was interrupted by outside events which accounts for my delay in thanking you! Much appreciated. Cheers Rufus
  7. Hi Thanks for your rapid reply. The document I'm trying to edit is a .afpub file which I think is the original file and not the pdf. I've been manually going through it correcting the curious spelling changes!
  8. Hi, I'd really appreciate some help please. I'm working in Affinity Publisher 2, and I made a pdf of a short document. When I returned to the original document the letters ti and te as well as ft had all been changed through the entire text to other letters, and I can no longer place images, use text wrap or change my text boxes. I don't have enough experience to know where to go! I've reset/return to factory settings. It's not the first time I've created a pdf, and that time was trouble free. Could anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction, please? The document is attached. Thank you. Two walks in Athens 2024 contents and cover stapled booklet.afpub
  9. Can anyone help me please? I'm working in Affinity Publisher 2.1.1, and it currently won't allow me to type into any text box. It's currently a 119 page A5 document. I have just had to reinstall the OS, and the keyboard works on other programmes, but not in Affinity. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks day by day 2 notes.afpub
