Thats strange.. try resetting the app, this can be done by holding down the CTRL key when opening the app then clicking 'Select All' and then 'Clear'

With regards to the measurements, go into Document > Resize Document and you can change the Units there.

We have no user guides at the moment, this is something we may see in the future. 

For now you could use the help within the app, it has quite detailed information about each tool and in most cases it tells you how to use it. If there's anything the help doesn't cover you could always ask on these forums :)

You could consider using the Blemish Removal tool or Patch Tool, would it be possible to provide a copy of the image? If so we can take a closer look and hopefully offer you some better advice :)

Does the tool become highlighted when you select it? With regards to using the tool you just need to click on the blemish and drag the mouse, you should find that the tool will remove the blemish by replacing it with the area you dragged the mouse to.

It is possible for you to install some plugins at the moment, such as the NIK collection and Topaz but plugin support is still on going and you can expect improvements in the future. In some cases, the plugins developers will need to add some input for it to work smoothly. 

Have you attempted to install HDR Photomatix and Perfect Clear plugins at all?

Are you referring to the changes in develop being destructive? If so, Non destructive Develop Layer is listed on the roadmap and should be included in a future update.

It appears the grid will cover just the canvas as opposed to full screen, this applies for Artboards too. 

It might be worth posting in the Feature Request section of the forum if you feel Affinity apps could benefit from a full screen grid. :)

Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo are exclusively available for the Mac right now. We are going to focus on completing the full suite (including Affinity Publisher) on the Mac over the next 12 months. After that we will look into other platforms.

With regards to licensing, your university would need to register for Apple's Volume Purchase Program, and then you would be able to install the apps via the account that is enrolled in the purchase program.

If it shows an older version, it might be worth dragging your version to the trash and redownloading the app from the 'Purchased' section within the App Store.

Can you confirm the steps you took to get the crash?

It is not possible for you to export directly to Photos, you'll need to export to another location and then import the image into Photos afterwards (File > Import).

This is because you are in the extension as opposed to the app, so you don't have access to all of the features you would expect to see.

The red 'X' is an option to cancel the download, suggesting that the download is in progress. The white outline around the image gives you the download progress.

 

When it finishes you can open the image clicking on it.
