  1. If it isn't too long, you can manually adjust each letter in this simple way. Set the first character to a large number (ideally a whole number) and the last character to a smaller number depending on how much you want it to decrease by. For this example, imagining we set the first number to 100pt and the last number to 10pt. Now, subtract the smaller number from the larger, in this case leaving us with 90. Then, count all the characters and minus one (let's imagine we had 11 characters, minus one leaves us with 10). Now, subtract divide the first number (the larger font size minus the smaller font size) by the second number (the number of characters minus one). In this example, 90 ÷ 10 = 9. This is the number of points to change the font size by per character. In our case, we could enter the smallest font size (10) in the calculator, add 9 and press '='. This results in 19. We'd give the second to last character a 19pt font size. Then, press '=' on the calculator again to add another 9. This results in our next font size for the third from last character, and so on... until we reach the 100pt font size for the first character. This worked for me and is a simple way to increase each character incrementally by the same point size from character to character. Hope this helps someone.
  2. Wow, thank you so much. That explains it. Is there a way of turning cpsp off in Affinity photo? No worries if not. I could probably figure out the amount I can reduce the character spacing by in order to bring it back to normal.
  3. Thanks for the question. I could set up a sample .afphoto document that shows the issue when I get time. However, anyone can see the same by downloading the Roboto Condensed Bold font & typing one word in all caps and then applying the ‘All Caps’ feature. You’ll notice that the text spacing increases. This must be (as explained by kenmcd) to do with OpenType Capital Spacing.
  4. Thank you so much for your help! This makes sense. I’m using the ‘Roboto Condensed’ Bold Font (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto+Condensed).
  5. When using Affinity Photo (the latest version: 2.2), I find that clicking the 'All Caps' option adds more spacing to the text than when I simply type out the same sentence using caps lock (see image - difference is slight but enough to be a problem). This has been an ongoing problem for a while now and still seems to be an issue on the latest version also. The character spacing options do not change when I click 'all caps' and yet spacing is added. My OS is MacOS Big Sur 11.7.4 and Hardware acceleration is on. If this could be resolved, I'd much appreciate it. Thank you.
  6. A number of users have had the same problem I had with Pixel Persona when seeking to export multiple artboards at once. Each exported image was slightly out of line leaving a small gap on one or two sides of the image that had not been there previously. When zooming in within Pixel Persona, it became clear that the frame of each artboard/slice was slightly out of line with each artboard and could not be repositioned correctly since the frame jumps to the next pixel when it is moved within Pixel Persona. It's as if the artboard's frame had shifted to the nearest pixel. I came across a temporary solution: To align each artboard with one another so they are touching before converting the artboards to slices. However, this is not ideal for every project. Please ensure that the exact artboard area is converted into a slice irrespective of its position on the main document. Thanks! Asa.
  7. SOLUTION: I had a similar problem and came across something that worked for me. Move the artboards (while in the Designer Persona) so that they are perfectly aligned with one another (touching) – with 'snapping' on, of course, so that they are PERFECTLY aligned. Then head back to the Export Persona and delete any slices (under the 'Slices' tab to the right) that exist. Press 'Layers' (to the left of the 'Slices' tab) and select all of them and then click 'Create Slides' (below). Then head back to the 'Slides' and ensure they are all the correct size and export. I hope you find this works or another solution!
