The export-alphabetize-import workarounds have a couple of problems. 1. Links get lost. 2. A lot of steps, which I am sure to mess up on revisions. Pretty please Affinity. Can't we have this? This doesn't seem all that hard. Indesign has had this a very long time. And many sorts of books need multiple TOCs.

I have exactly the same problem on MacOS Catalina. The idml files are created with Adobe CS6. WHen I try to open them, the are greyed out. I have attached an image of this in case there some confusion about what this means. I have tried twice to regenerate the files. The show up grey out, that also show up greyed out when I use File/Place. Also, If I attempt to drag the file onto Designer, it does not open. Does anyone have a solution.

CS6 users and Catalina. Although I haven't tried it, CS6 supposedly runs fine on Catalina, but that is truly the end for CS6. This compatibility game Apple insists on playing is one of the most aggravating things ever, like gluing in the batteries so they can't be replaced.
