  1. I'm so heart broken that Affinity Designer Workbook can't be shipped to Pakistan. I was pretty excited about Black Friday low price and all that - but now am sad! Anybody know any store that ships to Pakistan? Just checked with Amazon US and they don't.
  2. Thank you @verysame for your recommendations, checking them out. Thanks again.
  3. I'm seriously considering to be at least self-sufficient when it comes to graphics designing (I work mostly with Designer - I go through a bunch of tuts everyday and practise them again and again). Being an absolute novice, I would love to understand the principles of graphics design, about color combos/selection, typography, about the right balance in one's designs etc (basically the foundational theory). Would be really grateful if you could recommend me some books I MUST go through if I ever wanna pursue graphics designing as a career.
  4. Hey Carl, If you see the example in first post above, you will see that images are placed over white bricks. I want to achieve the same effect. How do I do that? Also would really love how to do all this merging in Designer as well.
  5. @carl123 Thank you so much Carl, finally was able to do it. One thing though, there is a brick wall/texture and it looks like a layer, how do I achieve this effect? ...by making the group of final blended image a bit transparent (by changing its opacity) (though during this process, blended image didn't remain crisp and bright anymore, more like whitish).
  6. Hi, So this is an ad image with like a thin red border and a red full length footer/call to action with some text on it. How do I create it in Designer for my images? Thank you.
  7. Hi, I finally learned how to make 5 piece panels like these. Thank you all of you for your guidance, it now takes me less than a minute to create such 5 panels. OK, so now, I would like to learn how to merge/blend two images seamlessly as shown in picture. Notice how the edges of both flags kinda merge/blend into one another seamlessly in the central panel. How can I do it? Would love to do it in Designer (but also have Photos in case). Thank you.
  8. @carl123 I finally did it or like 95%. 2 things though. 1. How do I move the background picture (and re-position it) cos seems like I can't. I can only position the rectangles. 2. How to add shadows to these rectangles? Thank you so much again.
  9. Thank you so much everyone for your input, really appreciate it but admittedly, for a newbie like me, it's lot of things I need to absorb from this thread. I am attaching another picture to make things clear. Basically I need to be able to create 5 panels with ANY picture I want (and later on I can just paste the picture on a wall art mockup as shown in pic - also notice the shadows). @R C-R Yes, that's I want (with one picture that is on 5 panels) (and there will be a little gap among these 5) @carl123 Your approach is the most simple (as compared to using Artboards) and fast. Ideally I should be able to just paste new image behind these rectangles, position it freely and then bam, just export and done. Would really appreciate if you could post more steps (I'm a newbie or just let me know the tut videos I should be watching)
  10. Thank for the tips and screenshot, appreciate it. Yes I did the same in Designer but when I place the image onto an Artboard, image is too much zoomed in and I can’t zoom out. Also how do I give these 5 artboards some shadow to add some depth to them?
  11. Hi, I want to create these 5 piece wall art. But I am a newbie. I researched and these are called Pentaptychs. How do I create them? Any tutorial or any detailed guidance is greatly appreciated. I have both the Designer and Photo. Thank you.
  12. Hey, Ali here from Pakistan. Creative Cloud isn't available in my country but even if it was, Adobe price and its structure was kinda a so-so deal. So searched - searched - and kept searching. ONLY AP came highly recommended so bought it today and I am super excited to learn it. My needs aren't big, I just need to do some basic web graphics (banners etc.) so my use would be light - the REAL challenge (not much resources on web design I could find  ) would be to tame this AP beast so it could give me what I want i.e. some awesome banners that get attention from viewers. Hope this community guides me in the right direction.
