  1. That's awesome. Thank you for sharing it. The only problem is that it makes me want (a real) one of my own......
  2. Thank you both for your replies. So far my results have been good, but less than perfect - the black lines are not visible when zoomed in, but are still (feintly) apparent when I zoom out and view the photo as a whole. It could be that my technique is imperfect, or possibly, I'm expecting more than is actually achievable in practice.
  3. It's just one of those things - I experienced the best dark sky/low light pollution conditions for taking a picture of the Milky Way, but unfortunately, there were power cables in the direction of the photo. I've got several photos - Raw and jpg and I can successfully stack them, but my overriding problem at present is how to remove the power cables. I thought about trying to remove the colour of the cables from my photo - but I cannot get that to work. Of course I can use the inpaining tool, but that rather defeats the object (because it will blur/remove stars in the area where I delete the cables). I'm hoping that someone can guide me with a more elegant solution. I'm attaching a tiff but can upload the raws (or even all seven raws that I intend using for the final stack). One other point - would it be best to remove the power lines before or after stacking? Many thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can give. 2F7A2676_DxO.tif
