  1. I'm producing some illustrations for printing in CMYK and tried changing the blend mode of all the black strokes to multiply in the appearance panel to simulate overprint (since the configuration mode through the global swatch doesn't work when exporting to tiff). I made the selection in the "select same > stroke color" item and with all the strokes selected I tried to change it to multiply in the appearance panel, as said. However, no changes are made, keeping the Normal blend mode as the default setting. Is it possible to check this or only single selected strokes can be changed this way? Affinity Designer - Windows v.2.2.1.2075.
  2. I tried beta versions before the latest and the performance is better, but still failed at some point. You can try it for yourself and see if it solves your problem, maybe my graphics card is not suitable for V2. It's possible to copy all V2 layers in a new document in V1, since you're not using V2 exclusive features.
  3. Copy all layers and paste on a new document in V1, since you're not using V2 specific features.
  4. 2.0.4 is unusable, a kind of "pomodoro" app, works around 30 minutes and then crashes. Beta 2.1.0.1736 is better but it still fails at some point, at least I was able to work a few hours on a project - until the moment it became very, very unstable.
  5. Hi there, i'm testing beta version 1714 and noticed a fading delay when deselecting objects after some kind of transformation, like add or subtract etc. Is there a way to control the duration of the effect or simply remove it? I have to wait a second or two for the redraw and it's annoying sometimes. Thanks.
  6. Trying to figure out. One possibility is perhaps to differentiate when we leave a conventional canvas to an artboard created from any object mode (layer>convert object to artboard) and make it clear that this transition took place.
  7. (Hi there, tried beta version a little today, overall performance seems better than 2.0.4, thanks. Noticed this while configuring AD. Tested different renderer options, no one solved.) Sorry, forget this, it's working , now i noticed that there are different adjustments for background and artboard background g.l.
  8. Thanks Pauls, just uploaded a zip file with both dmp + afdesign i was working on when freezed.
  9. Yep, still freezing in 2.0.4, 30 min per session is the time limit of this software.
  10. This problem also happens to me and since the complaints started in November nothing concrete has been done so far. The answers have been the same: reinstall, disable cl, change drivers etc etc. This doesn't happen with any other software installed on my computer, and I have several others installed. It's definitely not a hardware issue. And the silence of the responsible team so far is disappointing.
  11. You can close any shape while drawing selecting Action > Close Curve. You may construct small pieces this way and then select ADD to join shapes. Make sure to select "use fill" while drawing with the pen tool to avoid these holes. Or you can draw the complete shape you need closing the end just clicking on the last node.
  12. Try layer/geometry/fill holes after you merged and filled the shape.
  13. Hi tommy5050, make sure one shape overlaps the other when joining and you can avoid this.
  14. Thanks a lot, Aongus, your tip worked here. Pressing "control+s and cancel" made the program become responsive again. It's a weird behavior of this software, I hope they fix it soon.
  15. Sending a video to show the issue (removed video).
  16. I have a similar problem here, but i don't agree it's a zooming issue. The software slows down and the UI becomes unresponsive after say, 30 minutes of work. At every session. I can access drawing area, i can zoom in and out, but i can't click on menu items. On the panels, i can't change anything, can't scroll and select layers, can't select other colors or change stroke settings etc. When the software enter in this stucky mode i can select tools with the keyboard shortcuts, but not clicking on the interface. I have then to close the program, but it doesn't close at all, it's still running in task manager, so i can't open it again, only force ending the task. Tried a lot of things: different video drivers and preferences/performance configs, nothing worked. Current config: Win 10 22H2, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX driver 528.02 DCH clean install and Intel onboard HD Graphics 620, WARP selected renderer at this moment, hardware acceleration off, 16GB RAM, Dell i5 Inspiron 7560.
  17. Same problem here, lags and freezes after a while, tried all options available - disabled hardware acceleration, updated video drivers etc etc. Nvidia 940MX, 16GB Ram, Windows 10 22H2, Designer V2.0.3.
  18. Hi @stokerg, i tried four scenarios: 1. Wacom driver installed (pentablet_5.3.5-3.exe), tablet disconnected from USB. Pixel persona, same settings as anterior, no drawing at all, only picking colors from the swatch with the mouse. The problem ocurred. 2. Uninstalled Wacom drivers, tablet disconnected, fresh reboot. Mouse cursor velocity at 4 (Win config). Worked fine. 3. Same as anterior, mouse cursor velocity at 9 (near medium). The problem ocurred, although less than with the tablet. 4. Same as anterior, mouse cursor velocity at 20 (maximum). The problem also ocurred as 3. Imgs from 1, 3 and 4.
  19. Just made this video to show what happpens. The default "colors" swatch was selected. Adjusted the appearance to large, in fact doesn't matter the size of the swatches. I picked random colors and started to draw. The first and the last colors selected on the video replicates the issue. It happened many times while i was drawing. The file is attached here too. 2022-05-16 20-29-51.mkv colortest.afdesign
  20. It's a client's file, so i cannot send it in public. Let me know if there is another way to send it to you.
  21. This issue used to happen when i was working with a pixel layer inside a vector layer. Brushes - Natural Pencil HB and Natural Pencil 2B. Pixel Persona Mode. Document setup - 1080 x 1080 px | 300dpi | no transparent background.
