Hi Bruce Thanks for reaching out and providing this advice. I did as you suggested and whilst the problem does not appear to affect a new document it still exists with documents that have it. The only thing I can suppose is that it might relate to the export of the document(s) as PDF's. This seems to be the only common factor I can find so far.

I am using version 1.10.5 and the problem still exists as far as I am concerned, likewise this affects documents started from scratch. If I start a new text box using Arial 12pt regular I get strange almost indecipherable text as shown below. Closing down publisher and reopening the file cures the problem for the most part but does not cure the new text box issue shown below.

The workbooks are possibly useful given that there is little else in the market for 'instructional' books, as compared with applications such as Adobe Photoshop. The Affinity books are also very expensive, I have personally baulked at purchasing them for this alone. One has to ask why they are not provided as a PDF at a much reduced price as an alternative. A book that contains comprehensive instructions for Affinity Publisher is some thing I have yet to find, you can locate various YouTube videos for Publisher but they are fragmented and in some instances assume a degree of knowledge beforehand, so not good for someone starting out and wanting to learn the application to a more advanced level.
