  1. THANK YOU Tegwyn!! This cracked the code! It took me a minute to figure out what @Tegwyn meant here, if anyone down the line has this issue and is reading the archive: Go to the the page with the anchors on it. Detach the master page section ON THE PAGE. (NOT the original master page. Here Tegwyn means the page you APPLIED the master to.) Go to your anchor pane, and delete the anchor with the "export as PDF bookmark" box unchecked. If needed, add a new anchor with the box checked. This fixed it. It's also worth noting--if you nest anchors in this pane, they will alphabetize (Well, they'll all alphabetize regardless), but when you export them, they are properly ordered by when they appear in the text in the PDF. Thanks everyone!
  2. John P, did you get the attachment OK? I reuploaded as afpub. More on this bug! I have gone through all existing, pre-1.9 anchors and clicked on "export as bookmark" individually (per update on 2/7) new anchors I have created on the second section on my document auto-check the "export as bookmark" box, unlike the prior existing ones, where I have to check it manually. I don't know that this is a bug? if I right click on the older anchors, even if I've checked "export as bookmark", the anchor will still show it as unchecked. but, it will show up in the anchors pane highlighted white, alongside an additional unhighlighted anchor. (So the reason that they may be unchecked no matter how many times I check it is it's populating the unchecked version over and over.) If I try to stop this strange behavior by deleting the duplicate anchor that's not highlighted white in the pane, it won't let me--the delete button does nothing. I've attached a video recording the last bit of behavior. cant_delete_bookmarks_Video-2021-02-12_17_58_59.mp4
  3. Just logging that I also experienced this issue, despite never using the outer resizing button (and I watched the tutorials, so knew the difference!) in fact, this issue occurred when creating a totally new text box and linking it to a previously created text box from my master page I applied to a new page. I also imported some assets from an InDesign file and a PDF, so this may have something to do with idml import. however, I didn't start off on an IDML document--I simply copied and pasted certain items (wish I remembered which ones) from the IDMl, because so much of the formatting translated poorly. (The latter I don't really put on Affinity--imports like this are sort of destined to be a little mucky and require reworking. It was easier than starting over from scratch.)
  4. Hello @Jon P! I was using a different preset, but using the preset specified doesn't seem to help. It does export the bookmarks, however, if I go through the process in the first reply above (right clicking each individual anchor and checking the "Export as bookmark" box, as opposed to the bookmark icon, which clicking still does not effect.) I've attached the document--you can see the 3 bookmarks I've manually clicked appeared. None of the others do (and clicking the bookmark icon in the anchors pane does not do anything etiher.) That does mean I have a viable workaround, but some of the bookmark functionality does not seem to be working as intended.
  5. A update on this! I can activate bookmarks by going into the anchor itself under "interactive" and toggling the checkbox that says "Export as PDF Bookmark:" When I toggle this box, if I go into the anchor pane, then and only then does the bookmark icon turn white: Interestingly--this also duplicates the anchor, as you can see above, with one anchor a PDF bookmark and the other still "gray."
  6. Hello! I'm seeing a bug with the new bookmarks feature. I had several pre-existing anchors in this document, and was very excited to see that anchors would become bookmarks in 1.9. However, when I export the document as a PDF, no bookmarks appear. Here's some useful information about that, and a video! I made sure to enable the "Export as bookmarks" box. The bookmark icon doesn't easily appear--I need to open the anchor view, and then after doing that, expand it all the way to the right to get it to appear. When I click the bookmark icon, it highlights briefly as white for a beautiful moment while my cursor clicks, and then goes back to gray. Clicking the icon doesn't seem to do anything. I have attached a video of the error! Let me know if you need additional information. publishertroubleshoot.mp4
