  1. Version 1.9.1

I've seen this with a Vector Brush as well, but in the Pencil contest menu, the stroke is set to black. I click the Stroke button and change it to invisible. Menu shows invisible (strike-thru), but as soon as I start drawing, the stroke turns back to black.

Only way to get around this is to open the Color Studio and set it there.

Now figured out that this problem occurs only when the Fill color is forward in the Color Studio. If the Stroke color is in front, the context menu works as expected.

Stroke color in context menu should work without regard to what is set in Color Studio.

  2. I wear a Huion finger glove, but it's pretty thin. I found that I do rest my palm on the glass while drawing, but lift my hand off to only hit with the two fingers as I'm using the same hand. But if I do it fast enough – lift-then-tap — then I can get it to happen.

But if I never touch the glass while drawing the brush strokes and then two-tap, it doesn't happen. So it sounds like the palm rejection problem, that the state lingers for a moment which gives me time to two-tap & unhide the UI. I specifically tested drawing with my gloved side of hand resting on the glass, fully lifted it off, and two-tapped and still got the problem.

Actually, check that. I just reproduced it with my hand hovering fully off the glass — brush, tap, UI showed. Over a dozen times now, hand never touching glass except for the tap. Twice with no glove to see if it was a static problem. Also tried with brush-grab Apple Pencil from hand-tap and still reproduced, in case it's a pencil proximity issue.

I use the same hand for brush & tap, which I do in quick succession. Can't reproduce the problem with brush with one hand, tap with the other, but then I would never do that naturally.

  3. Full UI.

I know how to do a screen recording, but not how to enable Show Touch.

Okay, I've found that it's in the setting of Designer itself under General. I was searching the iOS settings.

I now seem to have it repeatable. It appears it may be a race condition where I two-tap Undo quickly after laying down the stroke, though I've had it appear with other taps. Also notice that the brush stroke I'm undoing doesn't actually get undone when the UI pops up.

Is there any actual gestures that unhide the UI?

  4. AD Version 1.9.1, MacOS 11.2.3

Trying to track down issue of sidecar constantly freezing, which Apple recommends testing by booting into Safe Mode, which I've done. But when I open an AD file, or create a new one, all I see is the background, nothing else.

This is what I see when I create a letter-size document…which doesn't seem to want to upload. Anyway, it's just the dark gray background.

I can create objects, paint with the vector brush, but all I see of them is the outline when selected. I don't see the objects themselves other than in the Layer panel.

    Same happens with latest AP.

  5. I keep having the hidden UI pop up randomly when I two-finger tap to Undo something. I can't get it to appear in any way if I try, but then I don't know if there's a gesture to hide/unhide the UI. Can't find anything about it in documentation. When I'm two-tapping, I'm in the middle of the screen, nowhere near the edges.

    Drives me freakin' nuts!

Wish they would at lead give a keyboard shortcut to hide it again, (like 'H', which is not otherwise used), because trying to hit a small target in the corner with an Apple Pencil takes too much concentration, breaking workflow.

Also now noticed that it appears sometimes when I two-finger rotate, which I do a lot!

Does anyone know if there's a gesture for showing/hiding the UI?

  6. Thanks, but I already considered that for a few seconds, but it would not only be painful, but as soon as I started updating them, it would be very easy to lose track of what's been changed and which not unless I also went through the more painful step of finding the widest line, starting there, and then working methodically through to the smallest. Not worth it.

I have since found that by selecting the group their in (each character's inking is in its own group), I can apply an Outline FX which gives me pretty much the result I'm looking for. Don't know why, but it seems almost proportional.

    Thanks again for the help.

It really ought to be consistent across the supported platforms.

Actually, I just noticed that it is consistent. On AD Mac, my brush is in pixels but the stroke panel shows points. And turning off Show Line in Points did the same thing, putting the stoke in inches, which my document is set to.

Now I have to figure out a new way to work with units.

Did you notice the Trash icon on the bottom left of the interface? You can use it to delete objects (besides the one in the Layers Studio).

This is a pain when you hide the UI while working.

Click top right to unhide, click bottom left to delete, click top right to hide UI again. (I mean, this is as far as you can reach across the app.

Versus: hit Delete key, which is ingrained because it works on the desktop version.

  9. Version 1.9.1/1.9.7 - Opening and working on file stored on iCloud. Save and closed. Deleted file from iCloud on Mac side. When I go back to AD on iPad and select Open from iCloud, the file is still there as though it can be selected. When I tried opening, got alert saying file does not exist. Checking Files app, the file is not there. Only way to get it out of Designer was to close app and then swipe it from memory, opening app from scratch.

  10. Version 1.9.1/1.9.7 - Have UI hidden. When doing Undo with a two-finger tap, approximately 40% of the time, the UI will reappear, though I am tapping nowhere near the Hide UI icon. Lack of shortcut to hide UI, I have to stop and touch the icon in the top corner to hide it again.

Have tried purposeful single-finger tap, two-finger tap, two-finger twist and can't figure out the event that causes it to appear
