  1. Ahh, I figured it had to be something I'd managed to screw up. Thank you for taking the time to figure it out for me!
  2. Here's the file: I did actually find a workaround for my problem. I changed the Style to something else, and then manually reset it to what I wanted. But it was still an usual problem I'd never seen before. transparent leaf.afdesign
  3. I seem to have a similar problem ... I have a shape, the fill opacity is set to 100%. The layer is set to Normal and 100%. And yet the shape is at 50% opacity. (I know it's at 50% because I set the base shape to 50% when I was tracing a leaf) Any way to fix this?
  4. I do frequently use some kind of brush to rough the edges of shapes a bit, yes, but as loukash says, that's something of an imperfect solution. Hmm... I hadn't considered Line Style of Pressure, those might help me a bit. Thanks!
  5. I'd also like to see something similar to this. Even something as simple as a tool like the Crescent shape, only with an S shaped curve instead of a C shaped curve.
  6. The Roughen tool from Illustrator is one of the few things I really miss. It would be awesome if something like that could be added to Affinity Designer.
  7. When I first started using Affinity Designer, I wanted to create a field of stars. However, all my searches for "star field brushes" or "starfield brushes" lead me to tutorials on using granulated diffusion gradients to create the illusion of a dense background of stars. That wasn't want I wanted at all. I wanted a background of (slightly) cartoony stars against a black backdrop. Since I'm a hobbyist, with zero formal training, I didn't really understand how to ask for what I actually wanted. So ... I puttered and played with the tools and ... finally (after far more time than I'd like to admit), I figured out what I wanted. What I actually wanted, was: A Pixel Layer, Intensity Brush, with Multiple Nozzles. My work here is hardly complex, or spectacular, but it does provide a solution to the problem I was having, and I like to think that maybe it might also provide some help to others. So, in the hopes that others might find my brushes useful, or at least be able to use them to figure out how to make their own, here they are: Starfield brushes.afbrushes
