OK, I trashed the app. Now how do I download a new one? Never mind...I figured it out...working on it.

Well damn. The factory reset didn't work. it worked for a few minutes, but then started crashing again and again and again. is it possible it's because the file is very large? It's a book of photographs. I guess I'll try reloading the app.

It seems to be happening when I try to start up the app, without any specific file. Opening a specific files doesn't work either, except sometimes,es! As it just did. At the moment, it's running, but later, it might now. If I need to re-install the app, please explain how. Thanks for your help. glenn cheney

Every time I open Publisher, it quit within a second. I am on a Mac with Ventura 13.6.3 Except sometimes works. But not usually. Sometimes restarting thee computer helps, but not always. Glenn Cheney

i restarted the Mac, and then Publisher would open. However, now it won't let me export to pdf. It says "There was an error..." It will export to jpg and psd, but not pdf.

Same problem here, on a Mac running 10.15.6. Publisher used to work, now it doesn't. It seems to launch--I see it in the side bar--but there's no menu, no way to open anything. WTF? Can we get some kind of advice from Affinity for this? I can't reset it because I can't see it. I sure would like to get some work done today. I don't have time for this. Glenn Cheney Hanover, Conn. You're right, bruce. I hadn't thought of that. i've laid out books that have a different text box on each page. That would be a long and arduous conversion.

I finally figured out an easy way to convert to ebook. So easy! Copy all the text into a Word or Pages doc, then export to epub. Right? Won't that work? You might have to re-style the chapters to make a TOC with links, but that wouldn't take long. I don't know how it would work if there are photos. You might have to manually insert them one by one. The conversion wouldn't be instantaneous, but it should be possible with a few minutes or maybe an hour of work.

I have an existing site designed with iWeb (NLLibrarium.com). I want to add a page designed in Publisher. The Publisher file names follow a different pattern from iWeb files. How do I add a Publisher page to an iWeb site?

Thank you, Soft. But I have a feeling converting a pdf isn't going to work for my text-only book. I just looked at Kindle Create. It says "Your PDF is converted into a Print Replica eBook. Print Replica eBooks maintain the look of their print editions and offer many of the advantages of standard Kindle eBooks, but they do not allow the reader to resize text " I don't know if a print replica works for a book of text. Can readers still see words in a reasonable size without having to pull the page right and left to see a whole line? On the other hand, the KC instructions say to use a .doc for text, but other apps will do. I used to use inDesign, which converts directly to various ebook formats. KC doesn't mention this option. So I don't know what to think. Maybe I'll just have to copy the text from Publisher and paste into a .doc and upload that.

What app could be used to convert a pdf to an ebook? Will Kindle make that conversion if I send them a pdf/ I don't want a fixed layout book. And will Affinity ever make it possible to do an eBook?
