I am still needing to pay for Illustrator 5 years later as I need it. What happened to the roadmap or even the communication? I would love to advocate for Designer but not fit for purpose for my professional work. ☹️

We all do. This should have been in version 1.0. Unfortunately no word from Affinity developers as far as I know despite being asked for for years. It was on their "roadmap" in 2015...

Truly baffling this basic feature is still not in Affinity Designer after years of requests. About ready to move back to Illustrator (but Affinity already got my money so maybe don't care?), one benefit of the subscription model I suppose. Adding my +1!
