  1. I use Windows. So, it seems to be a bug.
  2. Ah! Thank you. I didn't see that. (If someone from the dev team see this post they should take notice of my first post and what I would call a bug)
  3. Thank you for your quick suggestions. The Colour Palett/-well is working, but it doesn't make sens to select the correct RGB manually when I just picked the correct colour with the tool which is available for use with the gradient fill...
  4. I'm using the latest version of Publisher (2.6) When I try to add colour to gradient fill with the "colour picker" it seems to reset; I select an object -> Fill color -> Gradient Then I select the node on the left, select a colour with the picker and add the color. The color ends up on the right side (wrong side) so I reverse the gradient and pick the node on the right, then a new colour with the picker. The gradient resets and start with the new color (the first colour is now gone). Is this a bug, or do I do something wrong? See enclosed video (by mistake I used v1 for the Video below, but the same happens when using publisher v2) FYI: selecting a colour from the colour palett works as it should. It's the picker which makes the problems. 2025-02-24 164846.mp4
  5. Thank you for your reply; changing to group solve the problem. I see though that Designer is not remembering my last setting. Is there a way to make "Group" default?
  6. I've been selecting and grouping, as always, in both Designer and Photo. But at one point it seems like grouping started acting differently? If I select one object in a group, it's possible to move that object independently. I have to select the group in the layer panel first, to move the whole group. To me it seems like an unlogic process; if you group objects it's because you would like them to stick together. So, the process should be opposite; that moving independent objects should be done through the layer panel (eventually using the "node tool") and moving the whole group should be done directly by the "move tool". Or, have I misunderstood something?
  7. Interesting 👍 (but it was already located just on click above bottom)
  8. How do I find to the Pantone number for a colour I've picked from the Pantone palette? I've picked a PMS number from the PMS palette, but now I can't figure out how to find back to which number I chose? Roll-over doesn't show anything, Colour Picker only shows the CMYK colour....
  9. Hi, I'm coming from Corel and trying to combine several objects into one. See enclosed image; Left: I've made 7 lines which I would like to fit inside the frame as shown. Everything outside the frame should be removed. Right: In Corel I would solve this by make a "window" and combined objects to make it look like the inner frame (everything else removed). Moving layer of grouped strokes to window doesn't work properly (either the grouped strokes covers the border and not inside, or the grouped strokes covers the window and the border disappear) How can I make it look like the right image (w/o the square around the "window") in Affinity Designer?
  10. I understand your point, but it should be no problem adding an "order number" to each artboard. Top to bottom, left to right; I guess you have come a long way if you just sort them. Anyway, vertical/horisontal sorting could be added as an option. Even grid sorting (for example: max 4 artboards wide before adding a new horizontal line of artboards)
  11. I'm normally using multiple Artboards when designing brand identities. Each Artboard for each part of the identity. Sometimes, at a later stage, brand identities are expanded. In those cases Artboard 10 would sometimes fit best as Artboard 2. Moving and reorganise the Artboards can be done by moving one by one, but it takes time. It would have been much better to be able to reorganised the Artboards by just changing the numbers for Affinity to rearrange them automatically. As far as I understand it's not possible; then this is a feature request. Otherwise I would be happy to learn a way.
  12. Thank you for your quick reply. You may check the enclosed document, if it appears the same way on your side. (I've checked the document with two different Lenovo Thinkpads*) test.afdesign
  13. Hi, I get som strange colour behaviour when I copy an object with a colour layer to a new artboard; the colour layer stay on part of the artboard, depending on how I move the object. See enclosed image and screen recording (the Screen recording didn't properly record the sidebar; at the end I was hiding each layer). Is it a bug or do I do something wrong? 14. Thank you. Good to know.
  15. Thank you for your information.
  16. I'm in need of converting a PMS colour to CMYK. Can't find how or any forum posts which solve this issue.
  17. Hi, today I experienced something new (see screenshots); Pasting selection make transparent border. Pls explain the reason and how to change back to "normal".
  18. Are there any plans to add support for EMB (Wilcom Design Embroidery) files in future updates?
  19. I have a similar issue; the Perspective/Mesh tool is not available in the toolbar (neither as an selection/option under customized tools). Any idea where I may find it? (Unfortunately Affinity help is not directing you to where the different tools are located...)
  20. "same setting each time" reference to each time in a project. When I work with another project the settings will, with 99% probability, change.
  21. No, those change from project to project.
  22. Hi, one thing I miss in Affinity is that affinity remember my last action settings in the document. Ex. when I do an export the core settings are displayed every time, even though I normally will export with the same settings each time. Which force me to do the same change over and over again, which is sort of annoying. Hope you'll fix that.
