  1. @DanM @Jon P Thanks Dan, I’ve included Jon P so the development team are aware of your issue and the other threads. Incidentally, since the first problem and converting my images to CMYK, I haven’t had any further issues re saving. Although I have mostly worked with text since then and I have used master pages with no problems. Many thanks, Johners.
  2. @Jon P I am saving to a local drive. After doing the above steps I did add a few more images before trying to save. I did place a few without the picture frame tool and then converted it to a picture frame, I also duplicated the image and frame and replaced the image. I don’t think there was anything else though. I hope you find it.
  3. @Jon P Actually, thinking about it, i opened the file that i had been working on in AFPub ver 1.9 and it did allow me to save intially, i then altered the picture frame sizes to a consistent size - W50mm x H50mm chose the fill frame option from the context menu and it was then that i tried to re-save and got the error. I'm not sure if this helps? Kindest regards, John.
  4. @Jon P I have attached a few of the images before conversion. Interestingly the act of converting them in the photo persona didn't actually convert the colour profiles, but it did allow me to save the file after selecting the images and choosing the convert ICC profile option in the photo persona. I'm converting the images individually through Affinity photo currently. Thanks Mums Memiors Photograph_16.tif Mums Memiors Photograph_17.tif Mums Memiors Photograph_18.tif
  5. Thank you so much Jaochim_L, the images were already in the document so I converted them in the photo persona and it saved the document straight away, without any issues. So I think you’re right that it a regression bug. Incidentally I upload the other files because that’s what the program generated at that point and I wasn’t sure if they’d be useful or not. kindest regards, John
  6. I have exactly the same issue and when you try to open one of the 0kb files, the message 'File type is not supported' appears, even though it is attributed .afpub to the file. I was importing images into a book layout when this error occurred. I had pressed the save button previously and it looked like it had saved, but then when I came to save my progress again, this error appeared and it just won't 'save' or 'save as' without generating this error. It does allow you to export as a package but the affinity publisher file generated is still 0kb in size and when opened the error again says .afpackage file type is not supported. I am using Windows 10: Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 Installed on ‎03/‎07/‎2021 OS build 19043.1151 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0 Affinity Publisher Ver 1.10.0.1127 I hope this helps to find a quick fix? Many thanks, John. Memories of Old Radford.afpub Memories of Old Radford 2.afpub Memories of Old Radford.afpackage
  7. Thanks Walt, but surely the bug is the fact that I can see what changes are being made whilst using the mask. When I click apply, that should not change at all. I can accept what you’re saying but that doesn’t make sense as the effects adjustments clearly do work at whatever the resolution is at. By pressing apply, that shouldn’t change! I haven’t tried different resolutions but I will try it at 100% and let you know. But what I have said above is the bug I think, not how the program calculates the effect, but the changes that I can see should stay visible after I click apply.
  8. This is a bug I have experienced on the two occasions that I have needed to use ‘unsharpen mask’ so far. The first time was working on the core skills section of the affinity photo workbook in the Sharpen section. The effect is shown and looks amazing, you then click apply and the image onscreen reverts back to the original image. I then tried to reapply the effect as I thought I’d done something wrong but the programme applies the effect a second time so when you are viewing the image before clicking ‘apply’ you are seeing an over sharpened image. Then when you click apply, it doesn’t revert back to the previously sharpened image but the original version - so it looks like no effect has been applied. I came to use this with another image yesterday and the same problem occurred and it didn’t seem to matter what resolution the picture was in, I.e. it didn’t matter that it was 1:1 ratio etc. The image always reverts back to the original. I am working on the latest Windows version of Affinity Photo, if that helps?
