  1. Have tried downloading the 1.9.1 Photo upgrade from the Apple Store and it just stops. I was able to down load the Publisher upgrade directly from the application with no problem but I bought it directly from you. Looks like the Apple Store is having some kind of problem. Is there a way to get the upgrade directly from your site? Going through Apple is a pain in the B***!
  2. I have Photo v1.7.1 (purchased from Apple Store). Just purchased Publisher (from Affinity Store). Running on an iMac under Mojave 10.14.5. Installed Publisher and it links perfectly with Photo. My question is; does Studio Link only work from Publisher to Photo? There is no such link directly from Photo to Publisher. Is there suppose to be? Will a link from Photo to Publisher be established in later releases?
  3. I had a similar problem with Apple's App Store not enabling the update at the same time Serif notified me that AP had been upgraded. After a number of hours Apple finally made the upgrade available. It seems to me, a simple user, that Serif would want to know every legitimate user of their products. We should be able to register our products with Serif regardless of where they are purchased. For that matter, why wouldn't Serif want to know specifically who has legitimate copies of their products? I logged on to my account on the Serif site and sure enough there is no record that I had actually purchased AP back in 2017. Luckily, I kept my original receipt from Apple but my legitimate copy of AP is not registered with Serif. I think the only reason I even get update notices is because I purchased a copy of the AP book. Don't see why I should have to purchase another copy of the product directly from Serif to get my copy of AP registered.
  4. I just checked Preferences > Performance > Hardware Acceleration [Check box to Enable Metal compute acceleration]. I also checked the box under Display for (use only integrated GPU) and then closed and restarted the program. Display still shows Metal grayed out but below the box for Enable Metal compute acceleration, the program lists my GPU display card (AMD Radeon R9 M395X). RAW file seem to be loading faster and modifications seem almost instant now.
  5. Reply from original posting user. It appears that Apple finally made the 1.7 version upgradeable from the Apple store. It still leaves the issue that the program is not registered with Serif and there is no product key if you need to download the program again.
  6. It appears that if you purchased Photo from the Apple store or from the Windows store you can't upgrade to the new 1.7 version. I can't even find a place that will allow me to download a copy without having some kind of key. When you purchase Photo from the Apple store or the Windows store they do not supply a key for the program. It just works and has been able to automatically upgrade its self until now. I think Serif has a problem with all those that purchased from either the Apple store or the Windows store. We need this fixed NOW! A simple solution is to provide a key to all those that purchased from either from the Apple store or the Windows store and allow them to then download the trial version and register it with the supplied key. Or fix the issue by allowing the current users program to automatically upgrade. This appears to be a real mess from a users point of view!
  7. When I open the "Media Browser" it lists my Aperture, iPhoto and Photos libraries. The problem is that I have had to move these libraries to another drive for space reasons. The "Media Browser" apparently still points to the old location because no files are listed under these directories in the Media Browser The "reload" function does not relocate the libraries at their new location and there is no way that I can see to delete these entries in the "Media Browser" to allow for the program to reestablish a new set of pointers. Perhaps you could search all drives, at program start-up, or during "Reload" for afore mentioned libraries when establishing the "Media Browser" list. It also seems that the "Media Browser" should be an option that could be activated within the "File Open" function since browsing for a file at "File Open" is very common.
