  1. SuperVectorizer Pro is not acceptable. It is terrible. This is after converting a simple drawing to SVG and saving it as a jpg in Affinity Designer (png and .afdesign looks the same). I realize it is just a scribble, but that is what I used for a test to VectorizerAI (which I also improrted and SVG into AD and exported it to a jpg).
  2. I finally got a key after writing two emails to them. But I do not like the output that this program produces. Maybe I have to learn it better but maybe it is just not doing what I want as far as reproducing a svg file for mostly use in Affinity Designer. Very fuzzy.
  3. I purchased it an hour ago but have yet to get a key from them. Exporting is not enabled in the trial version. Hope I didn't get scammed.
  4. Me too. I don't want to pay a monthly fee, especially for something I may not need very often. Thanks.
  5. I just looked at their website and you are right! $295 or $10 a month. No thanks!
  6. What is that? I have seen center-line tracing mentioned before but do not know what that means.
  7. Darn YouTube won't let me watch it unless I create an account and sign-in. Which I am not going to do. Thank you! I downloaded their software for Windows (it crashes all the time when starting but eventually starts up) and am exploring it now but don't see anything to do with creating vectors so far.
  8. I would also need to make the background transparent since I will be drawing stuff on paper. Vectorizer.ai has another subscription product to do that which is an additional $10 a month I think. So it is going to be a two-step process with two different products being used to do what I want. I think Illustrator is the only one that will do that and convert to vectors as far as I know.
  9. Yes - Jonathan at Vectorizer asked me to send him something to test out and he would return the results. I was just a doodle but he returned a SVG file to me and it seemed perfect in Affinity Designer. He also has a service that will make backgrounds transparent but I am not sure if that is is part of the subscription. When I get more serious I am going to subscribe to the web version (I don't understand what the app is all about - seems really expensive). Better than paying Adobe! But I don't get why Designer cannot/will not do this or convert images to have a transparent background. Would be nice to not be able to have to bounce back between various apps. I believe Canva (now parent company) does both. Thanks again.
  10. This worked great!!! Thanks! To transform selected objects separately: Select multiple objects. With the Move Tool selected, select Transform Objects Separately from the context toolbar. Apply a sizing, rotation or shearing transformation. Each object is transformed relative to its individual attributes, not those of the selection as a whole. To size selected objects separately to absolute sizes Select multiple objects. Ensure Transform Objects Separately is selected from the context toolbar. On the Transform panel, resize by entering an absolute value into the W or H input boxes. For example enter =100px into the W box to make all objects 100px wide. This absolute sizing is in contrast to scaling other objects in your selection proportionately to a targeted key object resized to, e.g. 100px. Note the importance of the "=" symbol to signify an expression being used.
  11. Hi, I have 15 groups containing an eclipse with a text box of a number on top of it. I would like them to all be the same size. I could (and did) take the time to adjust all of them separately but next time I would like to save some time 🙂 Is it possible to do this in Affinity Designer 2? -paulw
  12. Thanks deepblue!! I have looked at Vectorizer.ai but it is a subscription and is too expensive for how often I would use it. -pw
  13. Either Windows is immediately deleting it once it is downloaded or it is a bad link. It disappears. I don't think I want to deal with this company, Thanks.
  14. Thanks Walt. I didn't go there because of the badly named link! Image? Mac? 🙂 Come on now!!
