Thanks Walt and Bruce. I have been trying to find a hidden layer but the panel doesn't show one. The funny part about it is that I can place an image over it but not text. Does that tell us something?

Very many thanks, your advice has solved that problem - almost. As you can below with my two facing pages, I filled the first text frame but got a gap then dragged it over to the next page and it filled it completely. Any thoughts

Hi, Can someone suggest how I can get rid of a small extra text frame that appears each time I draw a text frame? This is new to me so I can only think that I have unknowingly triggered it myself. I It also seems to affect the layout of pasted text. I have attached three screenshots showing the three stages. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I have successfully printed using PDF! ! The only problem is that I can't sort out how to ensure the text is the right way up on both sides of the page. Something to do with the short-side and long-side options I guess, but will get that sorted. Many thanks to both of you.. and Gary for the advice on text flow etc.

I have attached a page from a booklet that I am producing. When editing all the text is visible but when I print it is missing except for the lines I have inserted to separate the items. Any help gratefully received.

Thanks very much Alan. I followed your advice - except that I flipped short side not long side - and got the result I wanted apart from pages 3,4,5 and 6 of the 8 page booklet being in the wrong order. The front page, back page and pages 2 and 7 were as they should have been. I guess that's what you meant when you said "You will need to workout how you arrange your pages as the inbuilt printing does not arrange the order the pages." Any solution to this would be welcome.

I've been having trouble printing 8 x A5 pages on both sides of 2 x A4 sheets. (A step-by-step guide would be useful) )I thought I had cracked it but the printout looks like this. Why the small font size? Any help would be appreciated.
