Greetings. For 5 months I have been "trying" to add hyperlinks in Publisher and Export that document as a PDF. Perhaps someone here knows how to do this? I have added an image box over the graphic to link to a URL - when I right click and chose go to hyperlink, works fine. Upon export to PDF, never works. My email address works with hyperlink, but not URL. Any insights to this wonderful application are welcome. Thank You.

Hello Old Bruce... Good advice for sure, thank you. However, it is quite the time consuming challenge to break it into different groups and subsections.... for example: I am trying to grab and group the corner bracket (grey) piece... as you can see, there are at least 300 curves in this one little group. 1. Are the designers doing this just to frustrate others who might use their files, or is there an actual design reason? 2. How do you create smaller, purposeful groups from all this madness, within say, one life time? Thanks again for taking the time to advise.

Greetings! I come up against this issue every time I open an EPS file with Designer. There are layers and layers of images, that for whatever reason, the artist has combined with layers and layers of images from different groups. How on earth does one drag and select (isolate) a specific group of images? Case in point... the attached screenshot has (6) unique UI's. I am trying to isolate all of the images in the top left UI. This appears to be impossible. Each of these UI's has 100's of images, intermixed with image layers from all of the other UI's. How do I select just the images for one UI? I have tried every tool in both Persona's...? And in almost all of the graphic files I have ever purchased - this is exactly the same way layers are managed. What the hell is going on here...? Please and thanks... any advice would help me finally use the $$$ in graphics I have spent - without the ability to effectively use them. Thank You.

Hi Dan.... thanks for the quick response. It is weird, Affinity products are a pleasure to use and rock-solid, so I don't what to make of this. To your questions... You have an .afpub file with custom hyperlinks, which was working as expected? Yes You updated the Affinity app? (What version were you running previous to 1.10.4?) Yes, I did. Unfortunately, I did not make note of the previous version... 1.06 ish, maybe...? This .afpub's hyperlinks now have no names, and you cannot create a new link in this document? Correct. However, they do maintain their named Anchors (screenshot-1) In a new document, (screenshot-2) the process works... with hyperlink names. The problem with both documents, upon exporting PDF neither Preview or PDF Expert or in any other app, the links are not active. Are you able to create new links in a new document? Have you seen any crashes or errors on screen during this? No error messages or aberrant behavior. The previous version documents work as expected... opening them in 1.10.4 and saving has caused this issue in two tested documents. I checked the log/notes before updating to be certain the update would run on OSX 10.10, as far as I saw there is no issue. Thanks for your time and assistance with this matter.

From the hyperlink menu - it appears the names have been stripped? Could this be the issue? Our previous PDF output were all working fine with OSX Preview. No matter... old links no longer work, and inserting any (new) interactive does not work. Please advise. Thanks!

Your update STRIPPED all of my interactives. URL's, anchors, the works. Great,... Can someone show me how to use the interactives anchor feature in 1.10.4 -- all previous version URL's and anchors were stripped This [screenshot] does not work upon export. Is there a UI option that shows what and where when it comes to interactive? Other than this wee little properties menu? How do you tell if an item has a link attached?

Hello MEB. Thanks for the kind reply. This issues seems to be very intermittent. Over the weekend, 3-4 times the headers showed up. I have no idea. It's not that big of issue - compared to my Designer post this morning. Thank You.

Thanks, but that doesn't tell me much Day two... same problem. I guess I could import the form into Designer and "design" some headers.... then export it back to Publisher.

I have this exact issue as well - only my HEADERS don't ever show up.... is there a fix for this? It is most frustrating when in the middle of some good flow, one has to stop and take the time to search for and find a tutorial, only to be denied in the work flow. I find Designer and Photo to be just awesome apps... this, on the other hand is loaded with bugs. Please advise. Cheers
