  1. Actually I just discovered something else (working in a different document): Even if I have done a heap of other copying and pasting between times, when I go and copy the equivalent group from the next page, It still goes back and pastes the previous equivalent group (or at least that's what it just did now!)
  2. Thanks Dan I have uploaded a document as requested though it is not limited to this document. As far as I know I don't have any 'clipboard manager apps' I am only using what comes standard with my operating system. Remember it only happens when: I am selecting a number (or group though not 'grouped together as one by affinity) of items to copy and paste together When I have immediately before copied and pasted an equivalent group of items from another page (this being the group that then pastes rather than the one that was just copied) Also note that the copying problem pictured above is a slightly different though possibly related problem that has also been occurring for me across multiple documents for some time. I have not yet taken the time though to experiment to find any patterns of what seems to be triggering it. (it may be the same trigger as above but like I said I haven't tested it)
  3. I'm going to attach an image of the copying glitch I get which could be related where it seems to select the 'memory' of perhaps what it last selected rather than what is actually there. If I click off and reselect it will usually fix the problem. I didn't use to have these issues so presume they are related to updates. mostly they cause minor annoyance but I'm submitting for the purpose of product improvement as I love affinity and want to see it continue to improve. I am happy to work with someone to provide more information for the purpose of debugging.
  4. Hi Carl, here is a drop box link for the video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rwbyyuirwkxk2s4/IMG_5572.MOV?dl=0 Also I have been doing some experimenting with the problem and have discovered the following: 1. The problem seems to be limited to when I copy multiple selected items in the same position, from different pages (these pages were originally generated with 'duplicate page' and them modified). 2. If I don't delete and re copy the same image it just stays one copy behind in other words the copy past pattern is as follows: open new document and copy A - paste A copy B - paste A copy C - Paste B copy D - Paste C copy E - Paste D etc. I hope this helps. 5. Hi I'm posting here as I have a similar problem... for me it seems that the program is retaining a memory of previously selected items because it seems that the outlines match what my last selection was (at least some of the time). In addition the problem is extending to pasting....even when it seems to have selected correctly (sometimes I have to just click off and select again to get it to look right), it will still paste the previously copied and pasted item. If I then go back and copy and paste a second time it will work. This has been a minor inconvenience for a while but atm I am needing to do a lot of copy and paste and it is doubling my time which is now a significant inconvenience. It has been affecting multiple documents and my documents generally are quite large (100 or so A4 pages with illustrations). I'm going to attach a recording of it taken with my i-phone to illustrate Im am using 1.10.4 for Mac This problem was universal for copying and pasting all 40 images out of this document into a new one. I even tried shortcutting the process by selecting it twice but it seemed like I had to actually paste it and delete it and reselect it before it would work. IMG_5572.MOV
  6. I have just been corresponding with the Affinity teem re this problem and for me it seems to fix it if I rasterise the image before exporting to PDF. I did that by right clicking the image in the layers panel and selecting rasterise. You could try it and see if it fixes it for you. It's still a bit of a pain particularly if I have to go through and rasterise multiple images but hopefully there is an easier way.
  7. The way I set fonts before was the hard way, type in what you want, select it and set it to the colour and font that you want. Then if you need that style in other sells the quickest way WAS to copy and paste that text from a cell with the right format and then change the text it without deleting the original. I am quite the expert at getting around problems but it's not always the easiest way to go about things. LOL The colour wheel was there ok I just tried again with a new doc and a new table and if I go straight up to set the colour to red using the wheel it wont do it. If I type something in, select it and then choose red form the wheel it will change to red. I can then select the table as you described and select the red from the swatches and it will set red for the whole table.
  8. Thats a great help thanks I never thought to try and set the fonts with the table selected that way. It works like a charm. The only thing I found was that you had to select the colour from the swatches as it wouldn't set the colour from the colour wheel. So I had to get the colour I wanted in the swatches panel first. (not a real problem just might help other people to know this). Thanks Again
  9. Hi could you please explain this a little more, I am working with tables a lot and have been frustrated that there seemed to be no way to set the format for the font style, size etc for the whole table and even if I have the correct format in a cell, if I delete the contents it usually (though not always ??) reverts back to the default. It seems from the above post that you have got around this problem however I have not been able to work out exactly the steps required from your above post. I think my problem is 'define it once in an object' as I presume 'Synchronize Defaults...' involves the the steps : edit, defaults, Synchronize from selection. Thanks
  10. Hi I'm not sure if this will help anyone but I had the same, or a similar, issue where some of my images were appearing in print with random black squares in and around them when printed, (and not on screen) they were, from memory, all images I had created or modified in affinity design. I had been copying and pasting between the two programs and when I swapped to using export persona in affinity design to export images into a file and then insert from the file into affinity publisher, the problem was resolved. Took a bit of re - doing at the time. Funny thing was it didn't happen to all the images, though I replaced them all anyway to prevent further potential problems. Hope this might help somehow it sure wasn't a printer problem though. (I have two printers and it did the same on both lol)
