  1. We recently upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 and had to re-install all our software, including Publisher, V1. Many little things seem to be off, but one is driving us nuts: The page thumbnails on the left side of the screen won’t open the page when clicked – single-click, double-click, left-button click. Any suggestions on how to get this important tool to work again?
  2. Worked fine five days ago. Have added no new software. I'm at a total loss. No other programs on my computer have had any problem ... only the three Affinity programs.
  3. Things just got worse. I deleted the Affinity Publisher software, went to Affinity.Serif.com, logged in and tried to download Publisher. The download worked, but when I hit "run," and Affinity Setup error box popped up and said: "Exception: CreateDirectory failed." What's going on?
  4. Using Windows 7. Have been happily using Affinity software for years and this is the first bump in the road. Actually, it's more than a bump because I can't get in to the software and I really need to.
  5. no, I can't get into the programs at all. Same for Publisher, Photo and Designer.
  6. Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, this just started two days ago. No changes made to our computer. I right-clicked on Publisher and Photo and same problem: The icon/logo opens, but the program doesn't.
  7. Can’t open any of our Affinity programs (Publisher, Photo, Designer). The logo icon comes up, and then nothing. Tried to re-install Publisher, and got an error message: “Exception: CreateDirectory failed” Any suggestions?
  8. In PagePlus X9, cutting out an object in a photo was so simple. You went to the "cutout studio" and it happened. Is there a fast and simple way to cut out an object using Affinity Photo? My goal is to be able to wrap text around the object. Thanks.
  9. Wow. I had no idea and don't even recall doing it. Will certainly make the fix. Thanks so much for tracking down my goof.
  10. Attached is last month's pdf file. No, I think most recipients read the file online. Some may print it, but not many. September 2019.pdf
  11. Have been creating 16-page newsletters in Publisher. They've been coming in at around 10 Mb. When exported as a pdf, the size remained constant. This month the Publisher file came in at 59.2 Mb. The exported pdf version was 54.92 Mb. Since our email service limits the size of our attachments to 25 Mb, this poses a serious problem. To save space, we linked the artwork and photos instead of having them embedded. The linked version came in at 12.0 Mb. But when we exported that file as a pdf, it was 54.9 Mb. What's going on? Why all of a sudden is our file so much bigger. A check in "resource manager" shows only three files in the 1-2 Mb size range, the others are in kB size. Attached is the original file (with embedded art). If anyone can tell me what I can do differently, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. October_2019.afpub
