  1. I am using the latest version of Affinity Photo 1.8.5 "Photoshop plugins" are not working for me on Windows 10. I understand the process, have followed the videos and the conversations. Of the Google (Nik) plugins, for some reason, the HDR plugin will start up. All others are listed but disabled. I have not seen a good answer to this problem on the forum. Can anyone help me. Thank you 23 Dec 2020 I finally decided to uninstall the application and reinstall it. That seemed to have fixed the issue.
  2. Thanks Gabe. I'll take your advice under consideration. And thanks for the info on the drivers. They are up to date but I'll follow your advice about the reinstall. Much appreciated.
  3. Ok, so I came back to this and having more of similar issues. I try to focus stack to NEF files and Affinity shuts down before the images are loaded repeatable and consistent. The same results with Canon CR2 files.
  4. Hi Gabe, thanks for being there. So I tried it with JPG files and the crash still happened. I'll attach the crash dump file. As to your question, not sure how to reply. I cannot read your logic. I stack RAW files to blend them. For example, if I have a long exposure in a dark forest where there is a stream, the stream will appear completely like milk...making this up on the fly. I can then take a fast shutter speed image with a high ISO which will produce a generally unacceptable amount of image noise. But, by blending the image I can 'paint' a bit of character back into just the stream giving the image more interest. I don't process JPG files at all for all the right reasons. Does this answer your question or am I missing your point? Thanks 564b46c0-c128-441b-9583-091717ddca64.dmp
  5. I have a similar problem. It is consistent and repeatable. File, New Stack, Select two NEF files, files open in a new stack, change the stack mode to see both files, select either file in the stack, hide the file by clicking on the checkbox, BOOM! Affinity version 1.8.3.641 Windows 10 Pro, all updates current
  6. I note this morning that at least one Nik plugin has issues in this new version. I am using the Google version of Viveza 2. My OS is 64 bit Windows 10 Pro which is up to date. I have 14GB of memory. When I open Viveza the color of the image is highly skewed to green. The image is in DNG format. If I export the image to Tiff and open it then again in Affinity then Viveza is again skewed to green. If I close Affinity and re-open the image I get the same effect with either the DNG or Tiff. Opening a different DNG gives the same result, highly skewed to green. Opening a JPG file in Affinity and then the Viveza plugin results in a highly desaturated, near black and white image. Repeating the above in Photoshop does not result in the problem. I did not notice this effect before today but can't say for sure that I tested it. Any suggestions? Thanks
  7. Hmm, is there a reason you have not upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 10. It was free
