  1. I confirmed a setting for 'global' permissions in a publisher window that came up today - this request to set permissions was stopping me from working on the file that I set up a few days before. Don't know why this request came up today (the publisher message said something about not having permission to access the linked images.) I copied some files from my iPad yesterday, maybe this altered something? Anyway I changed a setting in iTunes re sync to this device and also reset my user permissions on my iMac. Getting back to my Publisher job, 4 page brochure, I was able to export 'all pages' to PDF. Big relief!
  2. I can export 'current page' and then put them alltogether as one PDF using 'preview' on my iMac, but this is obviously not as quick as being able to export 'All Pages'. I am using Publisher 1.7.1. When I try to export 'All Pages', on selecting the folder I want to save into, I get the same error message as earlier versions of Affinity Photo and Design, window opens 'Allow access to the folder to export multiple files'. Apart from the above issue, so far, I am finding the Affinity Publisher App is brilliant for brochure design for web and print (previously used QuarkXPress for many years), very pleased with it.
  3. As a workaround not being able to save the 'whole document', I am using Mac Preview to insert separate pages into a PDF to make it into a multi-page 'whole' file I can use.
  4. Hi, Still having same problems with Affinity designer, trying to export 'whole document' as PDF, can't save reliably (only works sometimes) and keep having to force quit. Is there a Beta version of Designer I can try?
  5. Thanks, I have downloaded the Beta version and will test it.
  6. Re problem saving/exporting PDFs etc into a folder I use an iMac (macOS High Sierra 10.13.6). If I don't make the correct selections before exporting, I still get the 'allow access to the folder . . .' message which stops me from saving.
  7. I was having exactly the same issue, unable to save exported files into 'folders' after recent update of Affinity Photo and Affinity Design to version 1.7.0. Before a file could be saved (and I tried exporting file in various formats PDF, Tiff, PNG etc) message comes up asking 'Allow access to the folder to export multiple files' clicking on button option 'confirm' made no difference, file could not be saved in any folder on HD or on memory stick or separate hard drive. After trying a few things (resetting Apple permissions etc), I realised it was how I was trying to save the file. In Affinity Photo - Area: (changed 'whole document' to) 'Selection with Background' and was able to save in various file formats. In Affinity Designer - Area (changed 'whole document' to) 'Page 1' and was able to save it. In Affinity Designer - Area ( 'whole document' or 'Page 1') - ticked 'Don't export layers hidden by Export persona' - and was able to save may file to the selected folder. I hope this helps other users. Thank you Affinity, I am so very pleased with the Apps, finding them brilliant for web and graphic design (big improvement compared to Adobe software) .
