Illys Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 I'd like to request the straight-line function of the lasso tool (a selection tool) in affinity photo beta to be reworked a bit. Either as a separate tool, or with the shift button switching between straight and curved, without having to hold it down all the time to maintain the straight selection function? I found it quite impossible to make straight selections with my macpro touchpad while trying to press shift at the same time, and still use the spacebar to pan around the image. Plus that and I am a one-handed user, it's.. sort of an accessibility issue. :o Gimp has a good way of handing straight VS click-n'-drag behaviors with the lasso tool, by adding a vector point indicator (a circle indicating the beginning of the straight line activity and only completing the straight line when a new click occurs) and following the mouse with a line each time the cursor is lifted (mouse moved without click input).
