Alexander Sh Posted May 18, 2019 Share Posted May 18, 2019 Hi, With enabled Metal acceleration OCIO adjustment has issues with color accuracy. I'm using aces_1.0.3 ocio config. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open photo with smooth color gradients. 2. Add OCIO layer with conversion "Role - scene_linear" -> "ACEScc" 3. Add another OCIO layer on top with conversion "ACEScc" -> "Role - scene_linear" Expected result: image should has no color/tone changes since operation is reversible. Actual result: image has color changes – to see them just turn off/on both OCIO layers. Disabling Metal acceleration doesn't show any issues. Vario Posted January 15, 2020 Share Posted January 15, 2020 I can confirm this bug. The bug is also in AP 1.8 Beta. Disabling Metal solves this issue, but causes obviously a dramatic performance drop. Working in scene linear and color grading my renders and RAWs in ACEScc is or would be my main reason working with AP. I hope this will be fixed soon.
