Newbe to Affinity Photo so can anyone tell me why the attached screen shot of the same Raw file opened in Capture One and Affinity Photo look so radically different?

The image was captured tethered to an iMac using Capture One.

Thanks,

Hunter Clarkson

A EOS 77D isn't actually supported in the APh 1.6.x release for the Serif RAW engine (1.6.x supported cams) but instead from the Apple RAW engine of High Sierra upwards. - Instead the APh 1.7.x beta does support that cam by the Serif RAW engine.

So it depends on which RAW engine you used (Affinity or Apple inside APh) and on which APh version (release or beta) on your iMac. Further the Affinity RAW engine produced images always look flat as default, as their RAW engine doesn't apply any presets (level, brightness/contrast/sharpening...) automatically to the RAWs. You would have to make some adjustment settings there to reuse and then would get similar looking results.

BTW your cams date/time seems not to be set right.

Much obliged.. and I appreciate the reply....brand new camera for a client and for me. Learning new stuff consumes a huge amount of time.
