Nothing, Nikon's software like ViewNX-i or Capture NX-D (the better one BTW) knows much more about the used internal Cam settings here (Picture Control, D-Lighting etc.) and applies slightly presets as default. - Affinity Photo doesn't apply those as default and takes more or less the plain RAW without any contrast, sharpening etc. settings, thus looking very dull in contrast here. However if you apply some lighting, contrast and sharpening settings in APh and make a preset for your cam, it will look better and comes closer to the results of Nikon's RAW conversion software.
