PL Lamballais
Hi, I managed a very big web site and we have a lot of "news" we want to publish in "paper" so we have a look at Affinity (actually we use Xpress). As Affinity is not able to import HTML file, I produce PDF file using PHP+TCPDF. I notice some files can be loaded in Affinity and that's great. But other files can't be opened. I just get an alert saying "The file can not be parsed". So I can't know the "why" of that (I though it was the protection of the file, the size etc... but in fact no). The fact Affinity is not able to open 100% of the PDF fies is not really a problem but it would be great to have explanation like "why it can't". What I suggest: 1) Publish a list of parameters allowed in PDF 2) Add more info in the alert box, saying for example "too much font in the doc", or "Affinity can't handle rotated element" .... Best regards and congratulation to the dev team for this very good job PL Lamballais aka Féroce Lapin
