Malcolm Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Hi all, Can anyone tell me if there is a way to convert linked slices (ones generated from an object) to be normal user generated slices? I'm moving Illustrator files into Affinity Designer. However my files contain up to 100 artboards used to export game assets. I have a script in ai that converts my artboards to layers with the correct name. After opening in AD I can generate all the slices with names except they are linked to the rects! If I could unlink them or generate then unlinked I'd have a pretty robust way of moving across. Perhaps I need another approach. How are others bringing in ai files with large numbers of artboards or slices? Quote
Malcolm Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 Artboards are listed in the roadmap. Perhaps when Implemented artboards from Illustrator will open in AD? A way of demoting a 'Document node export area' to a 'Slice' would be very useful and offer some creative freedom when trying to get artwork out of AD. Quote
