Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo for digital painting

Hey 

 

I am a design student and is use photoshop and illustator to do rendering I have heard off affinity and I looks very interesting, aim divide which one is should get either designer or photo I will be mostly using for rendering not photo editing.

 

any recommendation would be deeply appreciated

well if you do more vector drawing than bitmap/raster image work you should Affinity Designer. Since both apps can do some smaller fair amount of the other one here (vector + bitmap) you can try out both first and then decide on our own. But usually ...
