Connie
Hi, does anyone know how to do this in Affinity Photo, where you sketch manually with red pencil, draw the final strokes in black, scan the drawing, then disable / erase the red sketch by playing with the red channel? Thanks for sharing.
Madame
Hi. Here's how I would do it.. (or in the first place I would just scan the red sketch and add a pixel layer and finish the drawing in Affinity and delete the red sketch layer) Well, here it goes: When you have your drawing in Affinity, add a HSL adjustment layer. In the drop down, switch to red. Dial down the saturation. Then slide the luminosity slider to where the red "shadows" are not showing. BobsDaubs
Hi Connie, I agree with Madame in that it would probably be best to just import your rough sketch. Create a new layer and trace your final sketch using the pen tool or other tool you prefer. Another option to try. Go to Select menu>Color Range>Select Reds. Marching ants will be applied to the red pixels. Press delete key. Red is gone!
