Warp group grouping issues

Affinity Designer 2.5.7

I have a simple warp group w/text and a simple curve. If I try to group these then it will destroy the warp group. The text will be grouped with the shape and the warp group is left outside.

The warp group is not applied anymore.

Is this intended to work like that?

Sorry, you can delete this thread. The affinity designer is very unpredictable at times.

I've been drag selecting shapes all day and now it started to misbehave by selecting everything i selected but not moving all all selected objects but just the one i drag from.

Now it works again, selection and grouping.
