Hi there,

I'm trying to insert an image into text.
When I convert the text to curves and place an image as clipping layer, the image only show into the first letter of the text.

How can I get the image showing into all letters of the text?

Thank you

Converting text to Curves will give you a Group of Curve(s) layers.

If you want to treat those layers as a single layer then you will need to Merge them.

However, in this case, you don’t need to do any of that as a text layer can contain an image layer (clipped to the text) without further manipulation. Just drag the image layer, in the Layers Panel, onto the name of the text layer – see attached video.

Hi Garry,

Thank you very much for your help and the clear video. This works.
Could you also show how to merge the converted text to curves layers to one shape?

Thank you

Select the Curve(s) layers you want to merge (the individual layers, not the group) and then choose menu “Layer → Geometry → Merge Curves”.

It’s worth noting that the resultant layer can only have a single stroke and fill (not mixed formatting).

If you want to separate the layers again you can select the merged layer and choose menu “Layer → Geometry → Separate Curves”.
