Hello,

I would like to have automatic filename increment on save while using my affinity products. Ex:

  • filename.afpub
  • filename_2.afpub
  • filename_3.afpub
  • filename_4.afpub
  • ...

Is there an automatic way to do it?

---

Edit to precise my intention;

I had file corruption issues, in a context in I was working on a cloud sync drive folder. But even though that might or might not be related to the synced folder, I would prefer having each file being saved isolated from each than a single bundle of versionning. If any would be corrupted I would have more to pick a valid backup.

Why I'm asking this, is because I've been able to find a valid backup... On the file update history of my cloud drive. So if one day I have to work locally without file versionning, I want to have automatic file numbering on save (rather than doing "save as" and manually set the name).

No, it’s not currently possible, except by doing it manually (as I do), but various things like it, some for similar reasons to the one you gave, have been suggested over the years.
