Black background in texts in affinity designer in 1 document only

Hi,

Does anyone know what is happening on this document : when I add text, the background is black but I do not have black background on my character panel (caractère) , it is on "none" .

It is ok if I change the background color. It is only happening in this doc

artistic text or classic text

it is in french sorry ! but it looks like english one

affinity designer 2.5.7 on mac os ventura 13.6.6

The black background you have there looks like it’s the Frame Text background which cannot be changed in Designer (but can be in Publisher).

In Designer, the only thing you can do is to select the Frame Text layer and press the Revert Defaults button on the Toolbar. This will reset all the formatting of that layer so might need to reformat the text again.

If that doesn’t work then we will need to see a full-screen (whole application UI) screenshot, which includes the Layers Panel, so we can see more of what you can see. (Full-screen screenshots are usually better than limited-size screen-grabs.)

This should only happen for Frame Text, not Artistic Text, as Artistic Text doesn’t have a frame which can be coloured.

Thank you, you solved my issues even if it is stil strange to me why it happened

:  I clicked on revert default in Edition/paramètres par défaut/ réglages d'usine : artistic text is now without black background, and I had to do 3 times for frame text (zone de texte I think in french)

Both new frame texts and artistic texts are ok now !

And I do not understand why you cannot see my layer panel because I can see it in my previous message not full screenshot but layers was there ?

I could see the Layers Panel in the second screen-grab but I didn’t know why you were showing us the “Window → Text” menu so I ignored that screen-grab to concentrate on the other one.

It often easier for us to see what’s going on if we can see the whole screen at once rather than bits of it here and there.

Anyway, good to know that you can continue with your work.

I haven't done it because I didn't want you to get confused with my others artboards but I just needed to push them away of the screen 😆

thank you again I was in trouble for months in this doc and I am using it several times a week for my customers...

Because I tried first to post in Facebook groups

and they asked me to show them character panel or explained me how add my character panel : as the software is in french they get confused whereas I already sent them the screenshot of it in my first post  🫠 and nobody was able to help me 😢

But I will go straight away to this forum next time 😆 I can find easily Affinity Master here 😆
