Normal workflow and file design for 3 years, file put away normally and now the file crashes AF PUB instantly dozens of times as I try things. Other files seem OK. File size is typical, so data is there and it even has a thumbnail. Can someone look at this fatal crash? Fixing it could save me hours of work, of course.

Stored on Windows 11 C:\IDrive\DAYTIMER

also tried open from desktop and from C:\ . Interesting that it crashes and leaves behind a lock file.

Location does not seem to be the issue, especially no change ever where I keep these. I suspect it was cranky when I put it to bed, and I think someone should look at the code, because it's fatal. I'm carrying on my life, but one day's worth missing is frustrating if someone could recover all or part. I never, ever, keep external images. All is embedded and this file was not nearly the largest set of embeds by number or size.

Giving me back all that work would be my best reward. I keep the images, but the content and layout I can't reproduce without hours of work, so I'm waiting and hoping. 😉
