I managed to really mess up my studio in Publisher 2. I first tried a restart which didn't fix the problem. Then I tried a suggested post about holding the Control key down and clearing some settings in order to return my studio to its defaults, but it didn't work. I also tried reinstalling the software, but could only install an update which didn't solve the underlying  problem. Please help.

I kept at it and figured out how to fix the problem. Thanks anyway.

You can reset your studio without holding down Ctrl - just choose Window > Studio > Reset Studio. It's a good idea to save your favourite setup as a preset so that you can reload it any time you mess up the panels. It's often easier to choose your preset than open and close various panels to get back to the starting point.
