Hello there,

In Affinity Designer 2, I've noticed a detail and I'm attaching a screenshot that shows where this detail is troubling.

In front of the word Align: there are three icons. There's an inversion of bubble info between the center icon and the right icon.

In fact, the center icon's tooltip states that the alignment will take place on the inside, while the icon shows that it will take place on the outside.

In the tooltip of the right-hand icon, the opposite is true. The tooltip indicates that the alignment will be outside and the icon shows that it will be inside.

Best regards
Pierre

Cordialement

Pierre

Hi @314r and welcome to the forums. I believe the tooltips are correct but perhaps you're misinterpreting the dark mode icons:

  • Left icon: The stroke is the thick white line and the bounding box is the dark line with a size handle. The stroke is centred on the bounding box.
  • Middle icon: The thick white stroke is inside the dark bounding box.
  • Right icon: The thick white stroke is outside the dark bounding box.

The icons are easier to interpret in light mode - the stroke is now the thick dark line and the bounding box is the white light.

Hello,
Yes, I know what you mean. I was reversing the graphic information. The DRAW is the thick line. I can see better now that you've “opened my eyes”.
🙂

I'm confused but just starting out, hoping this will be a “good excuse” haha.

Thanks for your support, I appreciate it.
Sincerely
Pierre
