Dave42 Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 1. I bought Publisher 2. 2. I then started a trial of Photo 2 (still running) 3. I bought Designer 2 Designer 2 initially showed up as a "trial" on install despite being paid for. I managed to flip that to paid-for. The Photo 2 trial has also flipped my licence status on Publisher to "trial". Not clear how I flip it back to paid-for. a. If I go through the "buy" screen and say I have a licence and log-in it flips my licence status to "unlicensed" b. if I do that a second time it puts me back in "trial" I can't say I'm impressed with the licensing process. Dave42 Posted December 16, 2024 Author Posted December 16, 2024 Since my trial of Photo 2 seems to have borked the licensing of the paid-for Publisher 2 I uninstalled Photo. I am still seeing the same behaviour - despite logging in I still get the Trial screen and my Publisher account status is "trial" Quote
Dave42 Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 Finally got to the bottom of this. I bought Publisher 2 using one email address/account. I bought Designer 2 under a different email address/account. Linking Publisher to the account with which it was bought correctly sets the licence to paid-for - BUT - it flips Designer to the same account - and that account doesn't doesn't have a licence for Designer. Put another way - the licencing doesn't accommodate two Affinity apps on the same computer bought from different accounts. It forces both apps to the same account, thus invalidating the licence for one app. Quote
