Popop Dirtbag Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Hello world! I will start making my own vectior brushes, and would like to store the "png's" i create in an easy to find location. Can i create a folder (eg: my brush png's) in "%USERPROFILE%\.affinity\Common\2.0\user\" so that i remember where they are, without that folder creating issues for Affinity? Quote
Popop Dirtbag Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 Adding--- THANK YOU to all who post utube videos helping us who don't know how to anything. Couldn't grow without you! Quote
GarryP Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 I would very much recommend not storing your own ‘user files’ in the application folder as you could get into lots of ‘bother’ that way. (The same goes for storing any user files in any application folder. Application folders are for the applications to manage, not the user) Just store them in a ‘normal’ place on your local hard drive, or create Assets for them if you really need to. Quote
Popop Dirtbag Posted December 16, 2024 Author Posted December 16, 2024 Thanks! Sensible advice, not meddling in the affairs of wizards and such Quote
GarryP Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 I’m curious as to why you want to store the bitmaps you are using for brushes. Can you tell us more about what you are doing? Quote
