Dear Affinity Team,

I am writing to provide feedback on the support for Hindi text, specifically regarding the rendering of complex ligatures in Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo.

Issue Observed:

When typing or pasting Hindi text, certain complex ligatures, such as "क् + र = क्र" and other conjunct characters, do not render correctly. This issue persists even when using Unicode-compliant fonts like Mangal or Noto Sans Devanagari, which are optimized for Devanagari script.

Suggestion for Improvement:

I kindly request that the text rendering engine be improved to handle complex ligatures in Indic scripts, especially Devanagari, with better accuracy. Enhanced support for such ligatures would significantly improve the usability of Affinity products for designers working with Hindi or similar languages.

Thank you for considering this feedback, and I hope future updates can address this limitation.

Best regards
