The EXIF data for JPG files does a lot to describe the creation process of an image but the EXIF fields are predefined by JPEG I guess. TIF, while owned by Adobe now, allows the user to define the tags (above 32768) so the format provides much more flexibility than EXIF and IPTC. Plus, as mentioned in another thread, it permits layers/multiple images per file. A program called ExifPilot (freeware I think) allows editing of any and all of the EXIF tags and a few of the Paint/Photo applications do as well to a very limited extent. Nobody gives full TIF tag creation though. Perhaps Affinity Photo might consider this gap in the market. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
