HDR stopped working

Recommended Posts

In Affinity Photo 2.5.5, I have been editing HDR photos after the update from 2.5.3 without any issue.

But today (after a restart of my machine), I'm no longer able to enable HDR. See this screenshot:

However, my Designer version is still 2.5.3 and when I opened an HDR image in it, it allows me to enable HDR properly (with correct clip warning values correctly detected). See:

I tried restarting my system again, which did not help. Then tried uninstalling 2.5.5 and installing Photo 2.5.3 again, which also did not work. Please let me know if there's a workaround for this. Maybe to remove the current values and force Photo 2 to detect the max brightness again?

I'm not sure how to reproduce the above issue. Here's my system information:

Windows build: 10.0.22631

System Model: Asus Zenbook UM5302TA

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 6800U

I found a way to resolve the issue: Disabled Hardware Acceleration, restarted Photo 2, and it started working again. Enabled Hardware Acceleration, restarted Photo 2, and it continues to work.
