How to import Table Data into a document?

How can I import table data into a in a Publisher document?  I've seen answers relating to Excel but when I try I only get the text from the original file.  I'd like to get the Columns and Rows imported as a Table, not just the text/data from the table.

I figured out how to do this.  Posting for others.

  1. Inserted table into my document (blank rows and columns).   
  2. Highlighted the text from my Word document table, copied via Ctrl-C.
  3. Back to Publisher doc, Selected the columns in the table, then Pasted the text via Ctrl-V.

The extra rows were added to the table in Publisher along with the font, size, etc.
