As a long-time Photoshop user, I finally decided to move away from Adobe. Before even downloading the Photo 2 trial, I watched numerous videos to get a feel for the software and manage my expectations. I was confident it would be a smooth transition, but I still needed to experience it firsthand. So, I installed the trial, and within 10 seconds, I was back on the website purchasing a license. Here's why:

  • Mousewheel = Vertical scroll
  • Shift + Mousewheel = Horizontal scroll
  • Ctrl + Mousewheel = Zoom

YES! Affinity nailed it. It drives me crazy when apps change this universal mousewheel behavior. While I knew in the back of my mind that Affinity Photo could handle everything I needed, this small yet crucial workflow detail sealed the deal for me.

Overall, Photo 2 feels faster, incredibly intuitive, and rock solid compared to Photoshop on my Ryzen 9 7950X. I couldn't be happier with the transition. Keep up the good work!

ps. it's so clever how Ctrl + Alt+ Mousewheel adjusts brush width & hardness. Love it.
