Duwap Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 I keep getting this kind of screen-tearing, pixelating error when zooming in and out while refining edges on a selection brush. I've tried closing and reopening Designer, and restarting my computer. Is anyone else seeing this happen? Computer details: MacBook Pro, 2.6GHz 6-core Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536MB, 16 GB DDR4 Quote
v_kyr Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 MacOS version? - However, check under the ADe preferences the hardware performance acceleration settings, if Metal is setup there try with OpenGL instead in order to see if things may then behave differently. See under Performance options (--> Hardware Acceleration): https://affinity.help/designer/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Workspace/preferences.html?title=Preferences Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
Duwap Posted December 26, 2023 Author Posted December 26, 2023 @v_kyr Thank you for responding. The settings show it as already being in OpenGL mode for the hardware acceleration. Quote

But "Enable Metal compute acceleration" is still checked! - Disable that and retry then again.
