Ross Hurley Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Hi Affinity team, I'm not sure if this request has already been made. I've not found one in the Suggestions forum. I miss the ability to easily get metadata into Publisher, specifically the caption data I've previously entered into the metadata of photos, to place as captions. In the Photos persona in Publisher the metadata panel only shows camera data. Whilst there is a file section, Description and other fields are greyed out with no data. The only way to get this caption data is to open each photo directly in Photo, copy the metadata field required, return to Publisher and paste it into a caption frame. That's a lot of work for a file with lots of photos. Being able to access each photo's other-than-camera metadata directly from the the Photo Persona metadata panel would make it much easier. Maybe it's asking for too much but in InDesign you could automatically bring caption data into the file with the photo you were placing. What a boon to productivity that would be in Publisher if something similar was available. Thanks, Ross Hurley Quote
