TheGeekYouNeed
I have a document that has a square on one of my layers. Previously when I exported this design as an SVG, the square would export as a curve. In Designer 2.2.0 it is exporting as a shape (rectangle), even if I convert the layer to a curve before exporting. This is an issue because the shape is not compatible when uploaded to Canva, where my end users need to be able to change the color of the square. I am using Designer 2.2.0 on Ventura 13.4. Are you sure on that bold emphasized above (?), since AFAI recall it was always like that, that specific simple shapes (rect, ellipse ...) have always been exported as equivalent SVG shapes, no matter if converted to curves before or not. - The only way to got them to be exported as real SVG curves (paths), was always to insert an additional node before exporting. TheGeekYouNeed
You're right, that was not the issue. After further testing, I've found the issue only occurs if downsampling is checked. There must have been a change with that setting. Thank you for your help.
