JCSJCS
Hi folks, Trying to stack a few exposures using the 'new stack' feature (why can we still not drag files into that window?!). The stack seems to crush all the shadows, and blow out all the highlights, despite this information being available in the exposures. The 4 pictures are attached, as is a screenshot of the resulting stack. changing the modes doesn't help much. Is there a way to get Affinity to actually use the darkest parts, the mid tones, and the highlights all in one image? There's almost no difference between the resulting stack and image DSCF4817.JPG. wim
Hallo JCSJCS, Had het niet beter geweest als je er een HDR van had gemaakt? Met vriendelijke groet, Wim

Met vriendelijke groet, Wim Unfortunately HDR mapping looks even worse, and exporting an HDR results in an export nothing like show in the preview - highlights are again crushed white. Affinityconfusesme
putting the darker images on top should help. It is not possible to re-arrange the layer/image order when adding the images, and re-arranging them within the live stack after it has been created has no effect. Affinityconfusesme
can you upload the images so that I can take a look at them or the afphoto file? Affinityconfusesme
the stack was fine I recovered the outside windows by adding a mask and painting with a flown white to recover where the brightness adjustment was from the average blend mode for the stack. You can look at the layers panel to see what I did I hope that it helped. Did you manage to change the stack by changing the order of the images as you mentioned in your earlier comment? Sadly as mentioned I have multiples of these to do so can't go in and mask out each one by hand. I was hoping it would be a simple stack where there's no information (blown out) + where there is information, but it seems I misunderstood. In the end Lightrooms HDR function got me the closest, even better than photoshops attempts. Appreciate your time!
Affinityconfusesme
if you look at the histogram in all of the images there are blown highlights(right side) so I did the best I could to recover the windows where it is blown out.
