Bert Jakob
I have several images in my publisher document with the text wrap settings "tight". Although I save this again and again, the "tight" setting is not active the next time I open the document. Is this a known bug?
GarryP
Welcome to the forums @Bert Jakob I just created a test document where I: placed a Frame Text layer onto the first blank page; added Filler Text to the Frame Text; placed an image onto the page near the middle of the Frame Text; set the Text Wrap of the image to Tight (looks right); saved the document; opened the document. ...and everything looks okay. Can you share a document which exhibits the behaviour you describe? If you can’t share the document can you show us a video where we can see it happening? Bert Jakob
Hello Garry, thanks for the quick reply. I have just created a new document as you did. Everything is working fine. But in the project I am working with, the error remains every time I open it (the images were .psd and .svg files). I have now tried what happens when I embed the images and not just link them - and there it suddenly works. So the problem is solved for me, but the error remains when the images are only linked. I have attached the project as a package (with correct text wrap), one image on page 4 and 5 is only linked and not embedded and the problem can be reproduced once (when opening the package file for the first time). However, if I then save the file that has been changed in the text wrap as a normal publisher file and open it again, the error is no longer reproduced. This is quite confusing. I think I'll make do with embedding the images for the time being. Test.zip
GarryP
Thanks for the document. I opened it but was told that some linked resources were missing, even though the Package Document dialog said that nothing was missing, so I can’t really test it properly. However, I did notice that the big image on the page-4/5 spread had Text Wrap set to Tight which was causing the text to not be displayed – don’t know if that’s part of the problem. I created my own document with a linked image, saved it and re-opened it, and the Tight Text Wrap seemed okay in that. Maybe someone else can figure out what’s wrong. Return
I think it is the nature of the object here svg and psd are document types. Since the psd's are just images here, you'll be better of to rasterize them first. Make sure to take out the childes first ,those text boxes you added to the psd containing layers.
